Travel to the conference

The Dana Research Centre is well served by the London Underground, being roughly 8 minutes walk from either South Kensington or Gloucester Road underground stations (which are on the Circle, District, and Piccadilly lines). The London Underground map can be found here.

Those arriving by rail will find the Dana Research Centre a fairly short Underground journey from any of London’s main railway stations.

For those arriving by air:

From Heathrow Airport, a range of travel options into central London can be found here. Probably the simplest (and also cheapest) option is to catch the London Underground directly from Heathrow to Gloucester Road (via the Piccadilly Line), which takes about 40 minutes and costs £6 one way.

From Gatwick Airport, a range of travel options into central London can be found here. The quickest option is to catch the Gatwick Express train to Victoria station (30 minutes and costs £17.80 single, £26.70 return) and then the Underground from Victoria to South Kensington (only two stops via the Circle/District line, £4 one way).

From Stansted Airport, a range of travel options into central London can be found here. Probably the quickest option is to catch the Stansted Express train to London Liverpool Street station (50 minutes and costs £8 single, £16 return if booked in advance online) and then the Underground from Liverpool Street to South Kensington (via the Circle line, £4 one way). Alternatively, if you’re not in a hurry, you can take the National Express coach from Stansted Airport to Victoria Coach Station (1 hour 45 minutes, from £12 one way), then the Underground from Victoria to South Kensington (two stops via the Circle/District line).
